We have found over the 30 years of being in this business that most customers do not know that a vacuums belt should be changed at least once a year. When a belt heats up the materials they are made out of start to stretch. This slows the agitator down, the carpet is not vacuumed properly and debris is not pulled up with the brush running slower. Belts are cheap! They are made so they are also the weakest link. It should break before anything else does. “My belt is just fine” you say? Don’t wait until it breaks. Change it and you will be impressed how smoothly your vacuum moves and the carpet is looking great.
